My-Pen

My Beloved Pen – Poem

Extolling my favourite pen which writes neatly and conveniently. It was given to me by my roommate, Elijah.

How much longer will you cascade your ink on my sheet?
Why don’t you stay with me for a lifetime?
We have been through thick and thin, reached a feet
You spew my thoughts without me paying a dime

You have seen me leap forward
I have seen you break your edges like a coward
You have translated my thoughts into words
I have eaten your head to bring the thoughts you labor towards

You have seen exam halls and stepped out unscathed You have kept me company through my sleepless nights
You have endured my gnawing of your case
And you have written ideas that fetched me grades

You write so beautifully I haven’t seen your kind on any shelve
Your ink dries up so bright when they serve
I may have thrown you away if there was your kind
Trust me, there are hearty writings you would have left behind.

Wishing aspirants well in our JCR elections tomorrow

I call on the electoral commission to ensure a seamless election exercise, aspirants to enable peace to reign, and supporters of the various aspirants to accept that this is an election to unite us yet again and not divide us.

Letter to Paradise

The theme of this poem is love. In very simple terms, it extols a woman, her beauty and virtues.
