“Lost” – Spoken word poetry

This is the 9th edition of my Friday Poetry Series.

I can’t find my way out of the maze
keeps jumbling up to my face
The people I cherish are leaving me without an embrace
All are against me wherever I cast my gaze

My world is falling apart
My shoulders cannot carry the weight no longer
My soul is crushing on the inside
And my heart is too heavy to push me any further

I’m saying this is the making of a legend
But what if this story persists till the end
It looks like it all comes to make me strong
Is it going to be so tough I need to be so strong

I can’t find my way out of the maze
keeps jumbling up to my face
The people I cherish are leaving me without an embrace
All are against me wherever I cast my gaze.

I call on the electoral commission to ensure a seamless election exercise, aspirants to enable peace to reign, and supporters of the various aspirants to accept that this is an election to unite us yet again and not divide us.

Letter to Paradise

The theme of this poem is love. In very simple terms, it extols a woman, her beauty and virtues.
