I.M. Saani

‘Go For It’ hitmaker, I.M. Saani The Poet, announces venture into courier service

If there is any poet I know who is a go-getter, it is squarely I.M Saani. He gave us the spoken word Go For It, He is going for it.

Fortunate people like myself who are on the broadcast list of I.M Saani on WhatsApp, for the first time, woke to a nonpoetry broadcast message on Wednesday morning. He was announcing a business that he has started in delivery service. If there is anything consistent about I. M. Saani, it is his unpredictability. He surprised us in early 2017 when he announced the first-ever poetry show he was set to stage in Dagbon. It looked all but possible as poetry was still anew in Tamale, considering how Ghanaians are not generally keen on poetry. But he managed to pull it through and it sold out.

Sabo Delivery, Kumasi.

In March 2018, he surprised us again with an announcement of a talent show in Wa, Bolga, and Tamale. The program was dubbed March To My Talent. I. M. Saani pulled through that one too. And it sold out.

In 2019, he launched an album. Yes, a poetry album. Something that sounded unconventional yet it happened. I.M. Saani has many poetry records to his name. He is the 2017 Ehalakasa Poetry Slam Champion. He is also an established MC, event organizer, a degree-holding nutritionist, and CEO of the Budding Studio. With the announcement he made on Tuesday evening, he is now, safe to say, a delivery guy – In-Charge of Sabo Delivery.

A delivery guy, who can recite your poem on arrival, you love to meet that one. He will operate in Kumasi. And he provides all the services by himself. If you are in or around Kumasi, you know your new delivery guy now – I.M. Saani The Poet.

If there is any poet I know who is a go-getter, it is squarely I.M Saani. He gave us the spoken word Go For It, He is going for it.

Sabo Delivery, Kumasi.

Announcing his move, he wrote:

I love challenge I no dey quiver,

I no be midwife but I deliver

Let me give you this sauce, even your delivery will rhyme. Lol.

Best wishes to our friend, who is going for it!

Wishing aspirants well in our JCR elections tomorrow

I call on the electoral commission to ensure a seamless election exercise, aspirants to enable peace to reign, and supporters of the various aspirants to accept that this is an election to unite us yet again and not divide us.

Letter to Paradise

The theme of this poem is love. In very simple terms, it extols a woman, her beauty and virtues.
