SON OF A BEACH

The night, a perfect time to love; yet, a perfect time to strive. Such a commotion.

The waterside is where I belong.

Atop the rocks, along the lake bank,

down underneath palm trees strapped in thongs.

Admiring the silhouette of my dream and its prongs.

The nighttime is when I wake.

Filled with coffee hours of no break.

The night, a perfect time to love

yet, the perfect time to strive.

Such a commotion!

Dear love, I’ve got no choice you see?

I’ve gotta win baby.

Someday I’ll make it up with you juicy

and tell you about these nights all night long hunny.

While I cruise with you in Lamborghini,

eating caviar and champagne with you in Guinea

and making love while all are asleep.

And angels in heaven leap in awe and maybe jealousy.

Together we will laugh at all life takes me through now, babe.

I call on the electoral commission to ensure a seamless election exercise, aspirants to enable peace to reign, and supporters of the various aspirants to accept that this is an election to unite us yet again and not divide us.

Letter to Paradise

The theme of this poem is love. In very simple terms, it extols a woman, her beauty and virtues.
